Backlinks
Backlinks shows which sites link to yours, how much weight those links carry, and which sites link to your competitors and not to you. It lives at Content agent → Backlinks.
How do I get the first numbers?
Choose Check backlinks. It reads the links that point to your site and usually finishes in under a minute.
It needs to know your website. If the page says Add your website first, set it in Knowledge, Brand or connect a store.
What do the numbers mean?
| Number | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Domain rating | A score from 0 to 100 for how strong your site's backlinks are. It rises when well-linked sites link to you. |
| Referring domains | How many different websites link to you. Ten links from one site count once. |
| Backlinks | Every link to your site that is known, counting several from the same site. |
| New links, 90 days | Sites whose link to you was first found in the last 90 days, with the number lost beside it. |
Why is my rating different from another tool's?
Every tool works its score out from its own link data, so the numbers do not match between tools. Compare your rating with your competitors' on this page, not with a figure from somewhere else.
How often is it refreshed?
On a paid plan the page refreshes itself every week. You can also choose Refresh, once a day.
During the trial it refreshes when you ask it to.
How do I compare with my competitors?
You and your competitors puts your domain rating and referring domains beside theirs. It uses the competitors and websites you set in Knowledge, Competitors; a competitor saved without a website is left out.
What is "Sites that link to competitors, not to you"?
Places worth asking for a link. Sites that link to several of your competitors come first. Sites that already link to you, and ones that look like spam, are left out.
What does "Likely spam" mean?
A linking site that looks like it exists to sell links. Such links do little for you, and the page tells you how many of your linking sites look that way.
What are new and lost links?
New and lost links lists the links found or lost in the last 90 days, one per site, with the page that links and the page of yours it points to.
