Segments

Segments are saved audiences for broadcasts. You describe the audience you want in plain language and AI builds the filter. They live at Email → Audience, on the Segments tab.

How do I build one?

Describe the audience - for example, "subscribers who viewed jackets but never purchased".
Choose Build. You get a preview showing how many subscribers match.
Name it and Save segment.

What can it filter on?

Contact status, where the contact came from, when they were captured, products they viewed, and terms they searched - combined with and / or.

Check the preview count before saving. A segment that matches almost everyone, or almost nobody, usually means the description was read differently than you intended.

What are AI-managed segments?

Segments marked AI-managed are refreshed nightly from your order history, so they stay current without you editing them. The at-risk audience the win-back flow uses is one of these.

Is there a way to reach everyone?

Yes - All subscribers, without building a segment.

Where do I use one?

In a broadcast, when choosing who receives it.
