Shopping

Shopping shows the product cards ChatGPT displays when shoppers ask your tracked prompts: whether your products are on them, and which stores are there with you or in your place. It lives at GEO agent → Shopping.

Shopping is for stores: it shows once a Shopify store or a WordPress site with WooCommerce is connected. A site that sells nothing has no product cards, so it does not see the page or get shopping tasks.

What is a product card?

When a question sounds like someone wants to buy something, ChatGPT can show products beside its answer, each with a picture, a price and a link to a store. Those are the cards this page collects.

ChatGPT chooses them itself. They are not ads and cannot be bought.

What do the numbers at the top mean?

NumberWhat it counts
Your shelf shareThe share of all product cards shown for your prompts that are yours.
Prompts you are onOf the prompts whose answers showed cards, how many showed one of yours.
Answers with cardsThe share of ChatGPT answers to your prompts that came with any product cards.
Stores on the shelfHow many different stores had a product on those cards, and which one leads.

When does a card count as mine?

When it links to your store, it is marked Your store. When it links to another store and its title names your brand, it is marked Your brand: your product, sold by someone else. Both count towards your shelf share.

A card from a competitor you track in Knowledge, Competitors carries that competitor's name.

What does "No store named" mean?

Some cards link to a search for the product and not to a store's page. The product and its price are still shown, but no store gets the card.

Why do the prices look the way they do?

They are the prices a shopper in your market was shown, in that market's currency.

How do I read the rest of the page?

Products ChatGPT shows is the cards themselves, most shown first; filter it to yours or to your competitors'. Who fills the shelf ranks the stores by their share of the cards. By prompt lists the prompts that brought cards up, the stores on them, and whether you were shown.

Why is it empty?

No product cards collected yet means no ChatGPT check has run since this page was added. Cards are collected with your AI Visibility checks, so they appear after the next one.

ChatGPT showed no product cards for your prompts means the checks ran and none of the answers came with cards. ChatGPT shows them mostly for prompts that ask for a product to buy, so a prompt set made only of general questions will rarely bring any up.

A competitor is on the cards and I am not. What do I do?

Tasks picks those prompts out and says who is there.

ChatGPT builds its cards from structured product information, such as price, availability and a plain description, and from reviews on public sites. Check that the products you sell for that prompt state their price and availability clearly, and that their titles name the product the way a shopper would ask for it.

Does this use up anything on my plan?

No. The cards come with the ChatGPT answers your checks already collect.
