WordPress & WooCommerce
Connecting WordPress lets Kooga publish articles to your site. If you sell through WooCommerce, a second set of read-only keys brings your products in as well.
How do I let Kooga publish to my site?
In WordPress admin, go to Users → Profile → Application Passwords and create one.
In Kooga, enter your site URL, your WordPress username, and that application password.
On some sites WordPress can create the application password for you - if you are offered a popup, approve it and the password is filled in automatically.
You can add this later. Leave the username and password blank to sync content only.
How do I connect WooCommerce products?
Products need read-only REST keys, which are separate from the publishing credentials above.
In WordPress admin, go to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API → Add key.
Set the permissions to Read.
Paste the key and secret pair into Kooga.
It didn't connect
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| We couldn't reach a WordPress REST API at that URL | The site could not be reached automatically. You can still connect manually with the credentials above. |
| A message about WordPress.com connect | Your site looks like a WordPress.com site, but the one-click option isn't available. Use the manual credentials instead. |
What's next
The assistant and the tracker ship inside the Kooga WordPress plugin, so there is nothing extra to paste - see install the widget. WooCommerce products appear under Products.
