Visitor tracking

Visitor tracking is what gives you realtime analytics, cart recovery and attribution for every storefront visitor. On a connected Shopify or WordPress store it is already handled - there is nothing to install.

Do I need to do anything?

That depends on how your store is connected.

Your storeWhat you do
ShopifyNothing. The tracker loads through the Kooga app embed, the same one that serves your widget.
WordPressNothing. The tracker ships inside the Kooga WordPress plugin.
Any other sitePaste the snippet shown in this step into your site's <head>.

How do I install it manually?

Copy the snippet shown in the tracking step.
Paste it into your site's <head>, on every page you want tracked.
Open your site once, then come back to the step.

It is independent of the chat widget and adds no visible UI, so nothing on your storefront changes.

How do I know it worked?

The step says Waiting for the first event from your site… until traffic arrives, then switches to Tracker detected. If it keeps waiting on Shopify, the Kooga app embed is probably not enabled in your theme - turn it on in the widget step.
