What the AI agent can do
The storefront assistant answers from your real catalogue - live products, prices and stock - and hands anything it cannot deal with to you. This page is what it can and cannot do.
What can it do for a shopper?
| It can | Notes |
|---|---|
| Sell from live products, price and stock | It answers from your synced catalogue, not a static copy. |
| Track orders | Verified, so it never leaks order details to the wrong person. |
| Handle returns | Requests land in your Inbox. |
| Capture leads | It saves contacts when shoppers ask to be emailed. |
| Hand off to a person | When a shopper asks, or when it cannot help. |
What does it do when it can't answer?
It hands off. Everything it cannot handle lands in Inbox - handoffs, return requests, and the questions your content did not answer, which appear as content gaps.
That last one is the quietly useful part: the assistant's failures become a list of what to write next.
Where does it get its answers?
Your synced products, your pages and policies, and anything in Documents. It follows your brand voice.
What controls what it's allowed to do?
The guardrails on Customization - appearance, engagement, upsell and returns - and where it should hand off to a person.
How do I get it live?
Connect your store, then turn on the widget. On a connected store it installs itself; anywhere else it is one script tag. See install the widget.
